Powerloqic 2Go ZeroFlex USB Mouse (best with Netbooks)

note: I don’t really go reviewing hardware but due to boredom – i ended up starting this post about the mouse i bought yesterday.

mouse01Powerloqic 2Go Zero Flex USB mouse isn’t a gamer’s mouse nor is it even a high-end mouse. In fact, it is one of the cheapest – that’s why i got it in the first place. I was looking for a highly portable mouse that could accompany my netbook when i travel. Using a netbook, i intend accessories to be as lightweight, portable and as inexpensive. I didn’t want a mouse that was as heavy as the laptop it was connecting to or is half its price. Good thing i’ve found Powerloqic’s product on one of the stalls in the IT shop.

ZeroFlex is quite nicely designed, coming in almost all black with just simple colored lines. It is quite sleek – as with most of their other models. Their line up are consistent with that form factor and layout. Even the packaging is nicely done.

When you open the box of ZeroFlex, you’d get just the mouse. No brochures, no inlets, no CDs, no promotions – just plain mouse. Just exactly what I needed!

Apart from being inexpensive, the 3 features that i really liked about this product is the summarized in it’s box:

1. Uni-retractable USB Connector
- It is quite nice that the USB connector can be stored within the mouse itself. This isn’t a new feature, as other brands also provide this kind of physical feature, making them perfect for travel.

2. Hi-Lo physical height
- This is a fairly slim mouse, not the slimmest or the smallest but it is portable enough. There’s a switch at the bottom that allows you to expand the mouse so it feels much like a normal mouse. I just wish I could contract it all the way down so it would really be slim when putting it back in my bag.

3. Lightweight
- This is one of the most lightweight mouse i’ve ever used, even with the USB connector already stored inside it.

mouse04Using the mouse is just a breeze – although it took sometime for my netbook to setup the drivers. However, it does feel a bit clunky. It somehow doesn’t feel as durable as the other mice i’ve tried before. Well, bearing a small value for its price tag – i wasn’t exactly expecting a titanium-based body. Hehe.

Nowadays, most mice being sold are the wireless ones. They are perfect for desktops and big laptops – not for netbooks whose main purpose is portability. I really do not like bluetooth mice that requires a battery, so i prefer those that allow you to charge it using a USB dock – but then again that wouldn’t be portable.

PowerLoqic’s 2Go ZeroFlex mouse is the perfect companion to any netbook if your not much of the touchpad-fan. It is very portable and inexpensive, plus it has a very sleek and high-end design.
